How does food work at summer camp?
All meals are included in the camp, such as breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner, plus, when activities warrant it, a mid-morning snack and supper before bedtime. On arrival days we include dinner, just as we include breakfast on departure days.
The menu is carefully prepared, with the selection of quality food that meets the requirements of a healthy and balanced diet, favoring local commerce and national products.
In order to ensure all food safety, Roda Viva follows all the rules and requirements requested by the HACCP company.

What medical care during summer camp?
The training of the monitors and coordinators includes the obligatory course in First Aid, capable of responding to situations of a minor nature. We will only use over-the-counter medication if consent is given by the guardians on the registration form.
At the request of the parents, we will be responsible for administering the medications brought by the parents. The information regarding the taking of medication (with time and dosage) must be on the registration form and handed in personally to the coordinator on the first day of the camp. This information is confidential and will be taken discreetly.
For situations that may require medical attention, there is a health center 4 km from Holiday Camp (USF Colares) and the Cascais Hospital 17 km away. In that case, the parents will be informed at the time.
How can you contact the participants during the camp?
In order for participants to fully enjoy the Roda Viva Summer Camps, the cell phones of the participants are guarded by the monitors.
Usually between 7:00 and 8:00 PM, cell phones are given to the participants to communicate with family and friends. There is a number made available at the beginning of the camp for anyone who does not bring a cell phone. The management’s cell phone number is also made available to parents for any urgent situation while the participants are in the field, so it is not used to talk to them.
